It's going to be a busy week around here. I was recently asked to be the secretary of the local MOMS Club. I'm so excited about this. Other full-time SAHM's will understand how good it feels to have something else in your life besides sippy cups, diapers and Dora.
Mark and I went to The Melting Pot last night with Cheri and her husband. Aside from taking 15 minutes walking around trying to find the door and then having to walk through a parking garage to get to the door, we had a great time. I ate WAY too much and have a lot of walking to do to make up for it.
I've been walking with the MOMS Club and around my neighborhood. Last week I walked 11 miles and only took Saturday off. I'm determined to lose some of this weight.
We had the music class for Madison this morning. She was so good during the class. They even brought in a bounce house for the kids. She LOVED it and that will now be added to her Christmas list.
(Insert not-so-subtle hint to grandparents)
I'm currently wondering if it's too early to start teaching my child self defense. She's still having problems with one of the little girls. The same one who she doesn't like to play with and the same one she had a shoving match with two weeks ago. Today the girl performed an all out pile-drive on Madison in the bounce house. On her back and in complete shock in a matter of 2 seconds flat. Tears were not far behind. She then bounced up to Madison, grabbed her shirt and whirled her on her back again. Her mom quickly removed her from all the fun and Madison got up, brushed herself off and continued bouncing the second time. I feel really bad for Madison and the devil on my shoulder would like to see her teach her a lesson in "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better 101". I can say this, when Madison does fight back, I may find myself rummaging in the diaper bag not paying attention for a moment or three.
I had my camera and was snapping pictures
as it all unfolded, see below.
We're taking the girls around the street tonight trick-or-treating and depending on how they do after that, we'll be heading to the mall for some more trick-or-treating. I'll post pictures later in the week.
I hope everyone has a Haunted Halloween!!
