Coming to an end
Our busy week is starting to wind down.
Mark finally had a day off and it went by too fast. But his schedule is about to go back to normal, so he'll get some days off again soon.
I took Madison to a park on Tuesday. She ran away from me. Seriously, forest gump style running. I was forced to run myself, and I do not like running. Her problem? She was trying to find a bathroom. I felt like I was talking to a box of chocolates when I tried explaining to her that next time she needs to tell me before she plans on trying out for the cross country team.
I went walking Wednesday and today. It's not only nice for me, but we're walking for a total of 1 hour and that entire time Madison is so good. She just watches the cars go by, talks to the other kids in strollers and eats her snack. Chloe takes her nap that time of morning, so it works out great. I'm exercising and I get to talk to an adult.
We had the MOMS Club meeting Thursday and I could not believe how good Madison was. Thankfully the moms that were there knew that I was busy taking notes, so they pushed her on the swings, helped her on the slide and basically there were about 3 other sets of mommy eyes watching her with me. Chloe just chilled out for the entire time. She slept some, she looked around, she slept a little more. She's really been such an easy baby for us overall.
I had to take Chloe to the doctor yesterday afternoon because of a skin problem we were noticing. Turns out she has eczema. It started on the back of her hand and now she has patches on both arms, shoulders and some on her back. The doctor told us about some ointments, so we'll just keep her lubed up now.
I hung out with some girlfriends last night. We played Skip-Bo, drank some wine and chatted it up. I really had a good time.
We still have tonight and tomorrow to get through before I can call this week over. Mark has firearms training tomorrow and then we have a family night at the beach with the MOMS Club.
