Our Christmas

The girls got to open a gift on Christmas Eve-it was their new pajamas. I had hoped to make them some myself, but there just wasn’t enough time.

Aside from Madison waking up at 4am-we had a very relaxing Christmas morning. She tried going back to sleep in our bed, but really just spent most of the next 3 hours tossing, turning, moaning and even saying, “Can we PLEEEEEEASE open the gifts now, it’s killing me!” At least she made us laugh.
Once Chloe woke up, the girls started opening gifts. It was really nice because Mark and I just sat back, Madison can read the names so she handled the gift distribution, I drank my coffee and we just relaxed. It was so nice.
The girls got tired of opening gifts once, so while they played Mark and I ate some of the breakfast casserole and then we went back to sitting on the couch.
About midmorning we showered, and packed up to head to my parents house for the day.

I love, love, love Christmas time, but I also love getting my house put back together. While the girls continue to play with their toys this week, I’ve been doing just that.
I am leaving the tree up longer than I usually do though since Mark’s parents are heading back this way on the 1st to celebrate Christmas with us. Everything else has already made its way to the attic though. And I have a pile of old toys ready to be donated to make room for the new ones. I went through the girls closets yesterday so Mark doesn't have to keep putting clothes on Chloe that don't fit her anymore. So I have some clothes to donate too.
Yes, I do my spring cleaning at the end of December…
we all have our faults.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
