We took the girls to see the new Veggie Tale movie yesterday.
Chloe ate enough movie food for the family seeing as how she polished off the popcorn, the Raisinets and the fruit chewy things. Madison just ate a few popcorn pieces and then chose our water bottle over her own Hi-C drink.
That's one of the ways Madison is growing up. I gave her a container of mini Oreos the other night after dinner and never said another word. She didn't ask how many she could have and I didn't tell her when to stop. When she was done, she got up, put it on the counter and went in the bathroom to clean her hands. I looked at the container and she had eaten not quite half of them. Which was probably about 15 mini Oreos-more than I would have told her she could eat, but not enough to make her sick. The next time she had them she only ate a few, maybe 7 or 8. It takes her about a week to eat one lollipop and she still has a plate full of Nerds sitting on the counter from 4 days ago. She just takes a few at a time as she's walking by.
Chloe on the other hand does just what Madison did 2 years ago. If I try to get her to stop eating a treat you'd think I was trying to trade it with a spider. Her scream comes out of her mouth, blasting me in the face, runs down my spine on it's way to my toes and shoots right back up what's left of my spine only to stop in my head so it can bounce around a little bit, leaving me scrambling for the Advil later.
The first night of the Oreos Chloe only left about 7 or 8 in her container. And the only reason she even stopped was because Madison was heading in to the shower (another big girl change) and Chloe wanted to take a bath first. I had the pleasure of enjoying her scream one more time.
The neighbors probably did too.
