Madison never had the chance to say her verse in school yesterday. I was more bummed than she was and I didn't even know she had been learning it at all. She said the teacher picked her on Monday...ok, if that's true, she had that thing memorized by Wednesday afternoon. At the risk of sounding like I completely doubt my child, I need to ask her teacher about it. That just seems like a lot to remember for her in that short of time.
I had my substitute training yesterday and it wasn't bad at all. It was even a little fun. I should be ready to start in about two weeks, but Mark's new position and schedule is kind of throwing a kink in it. I can still sub, it just won't be as often or as easy on the family. So, my plan is to just sub when I can and hope for a more permanent position to open up.
Speaking of Mark-we're heading out to see his new office today. This will be the first time that he'll have his very own office and it's not his car! It's very difficult to set picture frames up on his dashboard and really not easy to hang certificates on the windows. Even the smallest of nails just sends a crack right through those things!
Mark has also started softball again. After only one practice he's asked me pick up a knee brace.....I only think it's a little funny though because I'm getting old right along with him. We crack and pop and have aches that I don't remember my parents complaining about at the ripe old age of 30.
I blame it on global warming.
The kids just got up and Madison already has the Upside Down Show turned on-where's my coffee?
