The latest school work

Here's a couple of Madison's latest papers.

That's one colorful momma! She's doing very well with her reading and loves her Curious George reading books. Every so often she'll start sounding out words we see. We stopped at a pet store the other day and she sounded out "Pet Stop" while we waited in the car for Mark.

The biggest change we're having around here is dinners. They both have started turning their noses up at all meals. Well, ok, most meals. If it's in a casserole dish, forget it. They even cried about the lasagna the other night which they usually love! Chloe went as far as to make herself gag and she actually threw up at the table. She's done that twice now. So, I've started to make meals I've either never done or haven't done in a very long time. One was meatloaf. I don't like meatloaf, but I've stomached it when needed... like my moms when I was a kid and the in-law's when we visit. But I've never been a big fan or made it myself until last week. And MUCH to my surprise they both loved it and had second helpings!
I made scrambled eggs last week too-we've usually done sunny side up eggs-and Madison went to town on the scrambled version. Again, two helpings and 3 pieces of toast.
I'm happy with any meal they eat because I'm well aware that the next time I make meatloaf (the exact same way) that they will both turn their noses and cry for bread.
Night's like tonight though are great for everyone-
it's pizza night.
