Did you hear me breath yesterday?
The girls are staying at my parents house for two nights and I am sooooo relaxed. Just going to the grocery store alone is relaxing. Then to be able to come home and put away those groceries without little hands grabbing everything and pulling on my shirt while whining about some things and thanking me for others, well, that's a whole different level of relaxed.
If you heard me breathing easy yesterday though it was around 7pm when I was enjoying a glass of wine over a nice steak dinner with Mark.
I still woke up early today, but it doesn't matter. It's different waking up to kids pulling your eyelids open versus waking up at your own pace. Then to eat whatever you want, while watching whatever you want on tv all the while knowing in the back of your head that you are the only mouth you need to feed....all day.
Well, that's just friggin' fantastic.
There's still always that sick and twisted part of the deal though-the feelings that sneak their way into my fantastic alone time and make me miss the little brats.
Dammit.
